“Socré has belonged to the Piacentino family since 1869, when an ancestor of the current owners acquired the farmhouse, whose curious name derives from the job (shoe-maker) exercised by the previous owner. The farm has always been exclusively wine-growing and wine-producing, improved and modernised in the nineties by purchases in the Langhe and Monferrato. Last, in order of time, in Dogliani: about five hectares of vineyards in a single plot, in the process of replanting with pinot noir and chardonnay in order to produce Alta Langa sparkling wine”.
